How to Create, Join, & Delete Chatroom in Battlegrounds Mobile India

Battlegrounds Mobile India is officially available for all Indian users from July 2, 2021. It is a multiplayer online battleground game where you can team up with your friends to survive among 100 other players. While the gameplay, you can chat through voice, chat, and some quick messages. Apart from the in-game chat, you can also create a chatroom in the lobby of Battlegrounds Mobile India and communicate with your friends/clan members just like a messaging app. So let’s see how to create or join a chatroom in BGMI.

Step to Create Chatroom in Battlegrounds Mobile India

[1] Launch Battlegrounds Mobile India on your Smartphone.

• Android – Play Store
• iOS – App Store

[2] Click on the Message tab (which keeps changing continuously) at the bottom right corner above the menu bar and next to the Emote icon.

[3] Tap on the Chatroom icon at the bottom of the sidebar.

[4] Click on Create button on the top next to the text box.

[5] Here enter any name for the Chat Room and add a password if required.

Note: To set a password, click on the lock icon and set a new password. The password should be within 6 alphanumeric characters.

[6] Click on Create, and your chat room will be created.

[7] Note down the Chatroom ID on the top of the chat session.

[8] Share the Chatroom ID and password (if added) among your friend and family to join the chatroom.

Here in the chatroom, you can chat via text messages, voice messages, Emoji, etc. Also, you can share your achievements via the chatroom. It is not as sophisticated as WhatsApp or other messaging applications, but you can use these features to chat with in-game friends without sharing any of your personal number or social media profile.

Step to Join Chatroom in Battlegrounds Mobile India

[1] Launch Battlegrounds Mobile India on your Smartphone.

[2] Click on the Message tab (which keeps changing continuously) at the bottom right corner above the menu bar and next to the Emote icon.

[3] Tap on the Chatroom icon at the bottom of the sidebar.

[4] Enter the channel number in the text box on the top.

[5] Click on Enter to join the chatroom and start chatting among your friends.

If you don’t have a chatroom or Chatroom ID, you can chat and make new friends from the World Chat section through the Public Channel or General Chat.

If you want to chat with a friend in private, click on the Friends icon from the sidebar and choose any of your friends from the list and start chatting.

Step to Delete Chatroom in Battlegrounds Mobile India

Once you created a chatroom, you cannot create another chatroom unless you delete the existing one. To delete the existing chatroom, go to Chatroom and click the Menu icon on the top. Choose Delete Chat Room and click on OK to disband the chatroom instantly.
